While being blown into its beehive shape, the molten glass is inlaid with strands of brass by highly skilled artisans. The quality of the light from the Xenon bulb is cool, but is rendered warm as it diffuses through the brass. Visually echoing the show-stealing diffusers,Thorton’s stepped band subtly alludes to Art Deco motifs.
